Owned by MARC Ltd, the Michelin-starred A Voce Madison, located on the northeast corner of Madison Square Park, represents the simple pleasures of Italian cooking. Helmed by Executive Chef and partner Missy Robbins since September 2008, the restaurant is an integral part of New York’s dining scene.
The ever-changing menu at A Voce Madison features a selection of Antipasti, Primi and Secondi options. Antipasti include Cassoncini con Proscuitto di Parma, Swiss chard and crescenza cheese-filled fried dough and prosciutto di parma, and Fungi al Forno, seasonal mushrooms with fonduta, truffle and hazelnuts. Primi and Secondi options offer a variety of Chef Robbins' delicately prepared fishes and hand-made pastas including Linguine with clams, artichokes, chilies, mint and lemon; Tortellini, spring onion filled pasta with grasso viniditto and capon brodo; Trota Alla Griglia, trout with crispy potatoes, bitter greens and anchovy vinaigrette and the signature Pollo, a rosemary and lemon marinated chicken with rapini, garlic salmoriglio and pine nuts. Guests can also enjoy a rotating menu of regionally-inspired dishes.
The A Voce dessert menu, created by Pastry Chef Erin Burns, features classic Italian desserts executed with a contemporary approach. Highlights include Semifreddo, semi-frozen black pepper mousse with roasted strawberries and almonds; Cannoli, sweet ricotta, chocolate, pistachios and lemon sorbet; and the signature Torta di Nocciola, a chocolate hazelnut tart and orange caramel, an espresso crust and coffee gelato. Formaggi and Digestivi menus are also available.
A Voce’s award-winning wine list boasts more than 500 selections of wine with 5,050 bottles and 18 wines by the glass from Italy, France and the United States. Wine Director Olivier Flosse and Head Sommelier Erica Parker have collaborated to create an affordable list of which around 200 selections are $90 or less. As part of the restaurant’s monthly sommelier series, Flosse invites some of the world’s top vintners to showcase their wines at A Voce. As part of the series, guests can try wines produced from featured vineyards and speak with the guest sommeliers during their meal.
